5 Tips for Tackling Large Tasks


How to tackle large tasks – I put off big tasks, I am doing it right now, but they are often the ones which are never as bad as you thought when you get around to them, in fact sometimes I find they were actually a lot easier and quicker than I had told myself.

I find the following tips can help make the daunting doable;

  1. Set aside time and get yourself ready. If you are hungry or thirsty then you won’t focus properly

  2. Turn off notifications, if you are easily distracted then turn off e-mail and social media notifications so you can work in peace and focus.

  3. Set yourself an achievable target or several targets which once they are all done completes the task

  4. Chip away at the task in set periods, maybe just 25-35 minutes and have regular breaks

  5. Reward your actions and achievements with something that will have a positive impact on your life.

​You could also write about it, if it is a complex piece of work relating to your business, a challenge or hurdle you have overcome tracking the process and the steps could be a valuable piece of content for your blog or social media accounts.
